• Burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 8300 block of Viterbo.
• Credit card or debit card abuse was reported in the 600 block of South Eighth Street.
• An information report was made in the 800 block of North 12th Street.
• Theft was reported in the 100 block of Avenue D.
• Credit card or debit card abuse was reported at 14th Street and Boston Avenue.
• An officer assisted another agency at Spurlock and California.
Tuesday, Sept. 18
• Theft was reported in the 2600 block of U.S. 69.
• Criminal mischief was reported in the 3500 block of Nederland Avenue.
• A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 100 block of South 20th Street.
Wednesday, Sept. 19
• Assault/family violence was reported in the 2900 block of Nederland Avenue.
• Two people were arrested on another agency’s warrants in the 2800 block of FM 365.
Thursday, Sept. 20
• Found property was reported at 1400 Boston Avenue.
• Credit card or debit card abuse was reported in the 3000 block of Gary Avenue.
• A person was arrested on another agency’s warrants in the 1300 block of Spring Street.
• Theft was reported in the 600 block of South 17th Street.
• Disorderly conduct by loud and profane language was reported in the 300 block of North Fifth Street.
• Theft was reported in the 3400 block of Lawrence Avenue.
• Assault/family violence was reported in the 100 block of South Second Street.
Friday, Sept. 21

Association, teacher say Gunner incapable of attack
“A person does not change their character overnight,” said Veazey, a retired Port Arthur Independent School District teacher. “We do not accept that she just walked into a room and started beating on a kid. Her students are her life. She wouldn’t do that.”
