Port Arthur Fire Department’s commendations
• Company commendation — Engine 3 “B” shift’ Capt. Wayne Walker, Fire Engineer Johnny Martin and Firefighter Holt Buchanan for their heroic actions on July 29, 2010 to save the life of a person having a heart attack.
• Unit Citation — Capt. Gerrit Achord, Firefighter Antonio Mitchell and Firefighter Jeremy Tullis for their heroic actions on July 19, 2010 in which the firefighters rescued one of their own who was injured while fighting a fire.
• Unit Citation — Capt. Richard Malone, Firefighter James Jones and Capt. Jeremy Holland for their heroic actions on Aug. 23, 2010 in which they saved an unresponsive person from a burning house. The victim made full recovery.
