Police in Beaumont have identified the man whose body was found in a burning dumpster on Tuesday as Karl Aldrich Lillyquist Jr.
The preliminary cause of death is listed as smoke inhalation and the fire appears to be accidental, according to a press release from Beaumont Police Department.
Crews were on scene at about 2:16 a.m. Feb. 26 at 550 W. Cardinal Drive and when firefighters extinguished the fire they found a body in the dumpster.
The business was closed at the time of the fire and the fire was reported by a neighbor.
