Groves Police calls, Sept. 19 through Sept. 25

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 19 through Sept. 25



Wednesday, Sept. 19

• An assault complaint was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• An assault was reported in the 2400 block of Main.

• Someone scratched a vehicle with an unknown object in the 6100 block of Washington.

• A disturbance was reported in the 2800 block of Oak.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6100 block of Hansen.

• Theft by check of more than $18,000 was reported.

 

Thursday, Sept. 20

• Unauthorized charges were made to a credit card account.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• A red Tony Hawk bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 4300 block of McKinley.

 

Friday, Sept. 21

• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued to a person in the 4800 block of Hogaboom.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• A 16-year-old male was charged with failing to identify in the 6200 block of Jackson.

• A 23-year-old male was arrested on outstanding Port Neches warrants after officers were called to a disturbance in the 2600 block of Fourth Avenue.

 

Saturday, Sept. 22

• A 19-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Vincent Drive.

• A 21-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 6700 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A Smith & Wesson .357 revolver was stolen from the 5100 block of Grant.

• A 31-year-old female was arrested on Nederland warrants after a traffic stop in the 5900 block of South.

• Four tires on a vehicle were damaged in the 2700 block of Azalea.

 

Sunday, Sept. 23

• A 23-year-old male was arrested for outstanding Port Arthur Police Department warrants after a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Monroe.

• A 31-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.

• A juvenile runaway was returned home in the 6800 block of Willow.

• An assault report was made in the 5000 block of 32nd Street.

 

Monday, Sept. 24

• A case of telephone harassment was made.

• A 5500 watt generator was stolen from a building in the 6000 block of Monroe.

• A 120 quart Igloo ice chest and a stainless steel barbecue pit were stolen from a garage in the 5900 block of Monroe.

• A trespass warning notice was issued to a person in the 6800 block of Bexley.

• Online harassment was reported

• A 27-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding Jefferson County warrant in the 5700 block of Monroe.



Tuesday, Sept. 25

• Burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the 4300 block of North Link.

• Debit card abuse was reported by a resident in the 6100 block of Warren in which several charges were debited from the account without consent, for more than $100.

• A citizen in the 5000 block of Bay reported that a package delivered to the home had been stolen off the porch. The package contents were valued at more than $200.
