Its been weeks since Bettye Davis last stood in front of her Sunday school class and delivered a lesson about what it means to love unconditionally.
A dry erase board still stands in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Sunday school class with key lesson points spelled out in the teacher’s fluid handwriting.
The lesson, based on the scripture John 3:16, would be her last.
