Police responding to a call on shots fired near midnight on Monday, Nov. 2, at Prince Hall Apartments determined that a 25-year-old male was being transported by private vehichle to Christus St. Mary Hospital with a shot to the abdomen.
The victim was last listed in stable condition and police interviewed several witnesses. The Port Arthur Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. No arrests have been made.
The call came “on or about” 11:49 p.m. Monday from 900 West 14th Street, Prince Hall Apartments.

Tall, dark and handcuffed; Robber caught in Beaumont
A man suspected in the robbery of two Beaumont banks was apprehended outside Parkdale Mall on Wednesday.
The “tall, dark, handsome” robber is facing federal bank robbery charges for the Beaumont incidents and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Houston is in the process of obtaining a warrant for a Houston bank robbery.
The suspect has been identified as John “Steven” Stark, 46.
