Groves Police responded to the following calls from Feb. 27 to March 5
Wednesday, Feb. 27
• The report of two dogs at large was made in the 2300 block of Post Oak.
• A 29-year-old male was arrested on Port Arthur warrants during a traffic stop in the 5600 block of Monroe.
• A juvenile was reported as a runaway and later returned home.
Thursday, Feb. 28
• A 33-year-old male was arrested on outstanding Groves and Port Neches warrants in the 5400 block of Hogaboom.
• A disturbance was reported in the 3700 block of Joplin.
Friday, March 1
• Identity theft was reported when someone used the victim’s social security number.
• A ladies’ pink wallet containing a large amount of cash was stolen from the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
Saturday, March 2
• A 28-year-old male was arrested for fail to identify/give fictitious information at a traffic stop in the 7200 block of Washington.
• A disturbance was reported in the 2600 block of Cooley.
• An Iphone, Garmin GPS, and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle in the 5400 block of Main.
• A 55-inch Magnavox flat screen TV and two watches were stolen from a house in the 6100 block of 25th Street.
• A vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 5100 block of East Parkway and then left the scene.
• A disturbance was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
• A juvenile was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Main.
Sunday, March 3
• A disturbance was reported in the 6800 block of Camden.
• A 42-year-old female was arrested on outstanding Orange County warrants when officers were called to the 2100 block of Orange Acres in reference to gun shots being fired.
• A disturbance was reported in the 5100 block of 32nd Street.
• A dog bite was reported in the 6300 block of 32nd Street.
Monday, March 4
• A disturbance was reported in the 5300 block of 39th Street.
• An assault was reported in the 5800 block of W. Jefferson.
• A dog at large was reported in the 2700 block of Oleander.
Tuesday, March 5
• Unauthorized charges were made to a credit card account.
• A 54-year-old female was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 2200 block of Main Avenue.
