Port Arthur Police have issued a reminder to the public that the Salvation Army will not issue debit cards or any other merchandise at the Procter Street Pavilion in the near future.
Police report that a rumor has started that the group would issue cards to hurricane victims on Friday, Oct. 3, but this is not the case, a police release reads.
Those who need assistance may call the Salvation Army at 983-2229.
