BEAUMONT — Over the past three weeks, there have been three home invasion robberies that have occurred in the West End of Beaumont. An incident that occurred on Oct. 14 did not result in a robbery.
The common thread in these cases involve a small white car, possibly a 4-door, with dark tinted windows. The suspects in these cases vary from two to three black males armed with handguns.
Citizens are encouraged to monitor their neighborhoods and pay attention to suspicious persons or vehicles. If suspicious activity is observed, citizens should immediately call the Police. The incident include:
• The first incident occurred about 5:45 p.m. Oct. 14 in the 2200 block of Sunflower. According to police, two black males wearing blue and white pin stripe uniforms with short pants were told the victim they were looking for an address to deliver a package. The address given to the victim was not a good address and the suspects got spooked and got into a newer model white Maxima with dark tinted windows and left.
• The second incident and first of the home invasions occurred about 4:22 p.m. Oct. 17 in the 7500 block of Shadow Creek.
The 61-year-old victim came home and saw a small white car in his driveway. As he got out to go inside his residence and he was approached by black male, about 5’ 8” with short hair, brown collared shirt and black hat. The suspect said there was a mix up of a package that had been delivered to his house. The victim stated that he did not know of any package delivered to his house but he would check. As he opened the door he was rushed by the suspect and two other black males that got out of the car and were wearing ski masks. He described them as 20-25 years old. One was about 6', and the other about 5'8". The victim was tied up and robbed. The suspect with brown shirt was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun. They stole cash, a cell phone, camera and jewelry.
• About 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2800 block of South Major Drive.
The 34-year-old victim told police two black males in plain red T-shirts and ski masks rushed in to his home as he answered the door and were each armed with blue steel revolvers. The suspects beat the victim and knock him out. The suspects were two black males, 5'8", 185 lbs. They took the victims wallet with cash inside.
• About 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 in the 4600 block of Elmhurst. The victim, in her 40’s, went outside to get her mail and was rushed by two black males that were hiding in the bushes.
One of the suspects placed a gun to the victims head and they forced her back in the house and robbed her. She described one of the suspects as 5'9", blue shirt, jeans and a brown ski mask. The other black male was 5'6", jeans, and a black T-shirt and ski mask. The suspect in the black T-shirt had the gun. They got away with cash and jewelry. They left in a small white car with tinted windows.
