Gov. Perry names two to Pilot Board
AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Martin E. Broussard of Beaumont and reappointed Travis T. Miller of Orange to the Jefferson and Orange County Board of Pilot Commissioners for terms to expire Aug. 22, 2010.
Broussard is president and owner of LeaseAll/RentAll Inc., a Certified Public Account and former attorney. He is a member of the CHRISTUS Health Southeast Texas Advisory Board and vice president of the CHRISTUS Health Southeast Texas Foundation Board. Broussard received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. He replaces Morris Carter Jr. of Port Arthur.
Miller is a dentist in private practice. He is a delegate to the Dental Society of Southeast Texas, and a member of the Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is also a volunteer with Texas Healthy Smiles and Southeast Texas Dental Society. Miller received a bachelor’s degree from Northeast Louisiana University and a doctorate of dentistry from the University of Texas Dental Branch.
