Dogs seized after fight in Beaumont

BEAUMONT — Six Pit Bull dogs were seized by Animal Control in Beaumont after police responded to a call about dog fighting Thursday.

The call came in about 1:40 p.m. Jan. 8 and police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Cartwright. The officer found six Pit Bulls with scars indicating they had been dog fighting. Two of the dogs had fresh wounds. All six dogs were seized by Animal Control and the owner was identified. No one was arrested or charged at this time, but the investigation is continuing.
