BEAUMONT — A person was assaulted with a pistol during an early morning home invasion robbery.
Police responded to the 300 block of East LaSalle about 1:16 a.m. Jan. 13 in reference to a burglary/robbery.
The victim said two black males broke into the house armed with a handgun.
The suspect assaulted the victim with the pistol and ransacked the house looking for money.
The suspects fired a shot into the floor and outside hitting the victim’s car. A vehicle was heard fleeing the scene but the victim did not see it.
