Port Arthur Evening Sertoma 2012 President Tony Hollier named Darrell Landry as Sertoman of the Year.
Landry joined PAES in May 1990. He has been an active member of the club, serving in every office and Board position, except Treasurer and Secretary. He serves as the Club Historian, works on the Awards Committee, and is the club representative for the Sick and Visitation Committee.
He graduated from Lamar University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He was named the Outstanding Industrial Engineer of the August 1965 graduating class. He worked 40 years for Texaco, Inc. and retired in 1988.
He has been active in community work teaching religious classes at church. He has volunteered as a mediator for over 20 years with the Jefferson County Mediation Service. In 2011, he was recognized as an Outstanding Mediator.
Landry and wife, Patsy, will soon be married 60 years. They have a daughter and a son and five grandchildren. Patsy is also a Sertoman. She is a member of the Gulf Coast Area Sertoma Club.
