PORT ARTHUR — American Airlines is coming back to Jefferson County.
Flights from Jack Brooks Regional Airport to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will start Feb. 14, according to a news release on American Airlines' website.
The county has been working on securing this deal for several months. Governing bodies and individuals within the county worked together to create a $1.5 million dollar Minimum Revenue Guarantee fund to secure air service.
A press release formally announcing the deal is schedule for 10 a.m. on Oct. 25 at Jack Brooks Regional Airport.
