PORT ARTHUR —
The body of a woman was discovered on Pleasure Island Friday, according to Port Arthur Police Chief Raymond Clark.
The body was found by a fisherman about three feet from the bank at approximately 11:30 a.m. off North Levee Road on Pleasure Island.
The woman appears to be in her mid-20s with a thin build. She was wearing jeans, a hoodie, jewelry and had several tattoos, Clark said.
The cause of death is unknown at this time but an autopsy has been ordered.
