NEDERLAND — More than 200 Nederland football fans gathered at the Bulldog Stadium Friday night for a community pep rally for Saturday's game against the Georgetown Eagles in Cypress.
Big Ned fill-in Callie Nesbitt goofed off on the track in between making five-year-old Presli Tate smile in the stands.
The Nederland cheerleaders, Goldenettes and Westernaires performed for the fans during the short, but energetic rally.
Coach Larry Neumann encouraged any Mid-County fans to make the trek to Cypress Saturday and he said he hopes the community support is a repeat of last week.
"It looked like a Pittsburgh Steelers game out there," Neumann said.
The Bulldogs will play at 3 p.m. at Berry Stadium in Cypress.
