VIDEO: Under the Sea program at PA Library

Plants and animals are apart of life. Becky Valls and Company reminds us of this fact of life. This company teaches science through the art of dance.

They have performed across the state of Texas and are based in the city of Houston, Texas. This performance was at the Port Arthur Public Library. The goal was to show the children how plants and animals are associated with dance. Ballet and aerobics were used to demonstrate how closely related we humans are with these creatures.

Julia Pham said, “I learned a lot about the whales and jelly fish and their moves.” Just as she was elightened and enjoyed the show so did the the rest of the young audience. This company also performs two other productions called, “For the Birds” and “Dance of the Insects.”

Closing out the show the company rocks to the rousing rendition of “Under the Sea.” I could not help but reminise on my youthful days. Under the Sea is a production that keeps you moving, learning and having fun.
