GROVES — Groves Police Department responded to the following calls from May 27-June 2:
Wednesday, May 27
• A 23-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 6100 block of Washington.
• A 19-year-old male was arrested for running a stop sign and no insurance at the corner of Warren and Main Avenue.
• A 27-year -old male was arrested for outstanding warrants for Port Arthur Police Department in the 5100 block of Gulfway the driver.
• While on a routine traffic stop in the 5300 block of Gulfway, one of the passengers began acting suspicious and the officer had the 27-year-old male exit the vehicle and marijuana was confiscated and placed into evidence at the Groves Police Department. The investigation and charges are pending.
Thursday, May 28
• A 64-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3400 block of Twin City Highway.
• A 27-year-old female was arrested for City of Port Arthur outstanding warrants in the 2000 block of Vincent Drive.
• A 27-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants out of City of Port Arthur in the 6000 block of Monroe.
Friday, May 29
• A 30-year-old male was arrested for driving with license invalid in the 4900 block of 39th Street.
• A 45-year-old male was arrested in the 2500 block of Twin City for driving while intoxicated, three or more offense.
• A 21-year-old female was arrested for outstanding Justice of the Peace, precinct 8 warrants in the 4000 block of Twin City Highway.
• Prescription medication was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Boyd.
• A 19-year-old male was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 5400 block of 25th Street.
• A 23-year-old male was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license in the 5400 block of 25th Street.
Saturday, May 30
• Two bottles of cologne were stolen from the 5000 block of Twin City Highway by a female who left the scene in a white Ford.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported after a driver backed into another vehicle during a disturbance in the 4000 block of Cleveland.
• A 16-year-old male was arrested for fail to identify and resisting arrest in the 5900 block of 25th Street.
• A 27-year -old male was arrested for outstanding warrants after officers were called on a loud noise disturbance in the 6100 block of Real.
• A 36-year-old female was arrested for outstanding warrants after officers were called to investigate a shoplifter in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.
• A Pioneer car stereo was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
Sunday, May 31
• A disturbance was reported in the 6100 block of Hogaboom.
• A 23-year-old female was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.
• A 31-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 6100 block of Hogaboom.
• A 30-year-old female was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 2600 block of Boyd.
Monday, June 1
• A disturbance was reported in the 5400 block of Hogaboom.
• An assault was reported in the 2400 block of Friar Tuck Lane.
• Telephone harassment was reported by a citizen in the 5200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
• A black and white Siberian Husky puppy was stolen from a home in the 5200 block of Lincoln Avenue
• Two 17-year-old males were arrested in the 3600 and 3800 block of Canal Avenue on the charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Tuesday, June 2
• A 39-year-old female was arrested for running a red light in the 2600 block of Main Avenue.
• Damage was done to cabinets and door frame on a vacant house in the 6200 block of Willis.
• Glass was broken on a window to a home in the 3200 block of Graves.
• Identity theft was reported.
• A 55-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3900 block of Twin City Highway.
• A 20-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 6300 block of 39th Street.
