Groves Police blotter week of Jan. 27 to Feb. 2

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2:

Wednesday, Jan. 27
• A disturbance was investigated in the 2700 block of Oleander.
•A red and white 1.5 hp Craftsman air compressor was stolen from a front porch in the 3100 block of Ash.
• Criminal Mischief was reported on a vehicle in the 3100 block of Cherry.
• Forged checks were reported.
• A white Ford Expedition was stolen from the 3200 block of Taft.
• A 27-year- old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 6700 block of 32nd Street.

Thursday, Jan. 28
• A window air conditioning unit was stolen from a storage building in the 6900 block of Howe.

Friday, Jan. 29
• A 19-year-old male was arrested for defective equipment in the 5900 block of 39th Street. A 19-yea-passenger was arrested for no safety belt.
• A 28-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 5900 block of 39th Street.
• A purse was stolen from a vehicle while the owner was at a car wash in the 5300 block of 39th Street.
• Someone forcibly entered an attached sunroom of a house in the 5500 block of Sonnier Lane. Nothing appeared to be taken.

Saturday, Jan. 30
• A 45-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 2600 block of Main.
• A 26-year-old male was arrested for two traffic violations after striking a police unit and then left the scene in the 2000 block of Vincent Drive.
• Six parked vehicles were entered and stereo equipment was stolen from the 3300 block of West Parkway.

Sunday, Jan. 31
• Beer was stolen from a store in the 3900 block of Pure Atlantic.
• The owner of a dog was cited for the dog running at large in the 5200 block of 34th Street.
• Someone broke a vehicle window and stole stereo equipment in the 5100 block of 32nd Street.
• A 22-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 3800 block of Pure Atlantic.
• A 26-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after she was seen driving the wrong way in the 6000 block of 32nd Street.

Monday, Feb. 1
• A 22-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana and outstanding warrants in the 2000 block of Beverly Drive.
• A Car Dolly trailer was stolen from the 6700 block of 25th Street. The trailer had been chained to a tree.
• A Cobra radar detector and a Garmin GPS were stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Kinard.
• A 19-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana and evading arrest in the 4300 block of Twin City Highway after a traffic violation was observed.
• A disturbance in the 6600 block of 32nd Street was investigated.

Tuesday, Feb. 2
• A 31-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 2000 block of Main Avenue.
• A Pioneer CD/DVD/AM-FM stereo was stolen from a vehicle in the 3300 block of West Parkway.
• A disturbance was reported in the 2700 block of Maple.
• The driver of a Ford struck another vehicle and then left the scene in the 4000 block of 39th Street.
