Groves Police blotter for the week of Aug. 18 through Aug. 24:

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Aug. 18 through Aug. 24:



Wednesday, Aug. 18

• A 48-year-old female was arrested for prostitution in the vicinity of Main and Gulfway Drive.

• A 20-year-old male was arrested for the burglary of a motor vehicle in the 5320 Gulfway Drive in which assorted change was taken from a Ford Expedition.

• Assault/family violence was reported by a citizen in the 6900 block of Terrell.

• Theft of a Goodman 3-ton air conditioning unit was reported stolen from the 4800 block of Sue.

 

Thursday, Aug. 19

• Theft of a black and blue Tony Hawk bicycle was reported stolen from the 3800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

• Criminal trespassing was reported by to a residence in the 6900 block of Jefferson.

• A 30-year-old male was arrested on outstanding City of Port Neches warrants after being stopped on a traffic offense in the 5900 32nd Street.

• A 28-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding parole warrant in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive after being stopped for a traffic offense.

• A citizen reported that a S&W .40 caliber handgun was stolen from the 5600 block of Georgia.

 

Friday, Aug. 20

• A parked vehicle was backed into in the 6400 block of Warren.

• A 17-year-old female and a 22-year-old male were arrested for public intoxication in the 6400 block of Warren.

• A 38-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 4800 block of Twin City Highway.

• A 48-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 6400 block of Warren.

 

Saturday, Aug. 21

• A Chi hair iron, Sony digital camera, Samsung tv cord and remote and a HDMI DVD player remote control were stolen from the 3300 block of Charles.

• An antique camera, two TV sets, miscellaneous silver items, liquor bottles, Hitachi and Electrolux vacuum cleaners and china dinner plates were stolen from the 5000 block of Sunken Court.

• A vehicle was damaged during a disturbance in the 6600 block of Coolidge.

• An assault was reported in the 3900 block of Taft.

• A 24-year-old male was arrested for reckless driving in the 6200 block of 32nd  Street.

 

Sunday, Aug. 22

• A 52-year-old female was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• Assault was reported in the 2700 block of Graves after a disturbance.

• A 30-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 6200 block of West Parkway.

 

Monday, Aug. 23

• A 25-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Texas 73.

• Officers were dispatched to a call of suspicious males on bicycles, after checking for outstanding warrants a 18-year-old male was arrested for Jefferson County warrants.

• Theft of medication was reported by a citizen in the 2100 block of Perry Avenue.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 24

• A vehicle struck a building in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway and then left the scene.

• A 37-year-old female was arrested for prostitution at a motel in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• A 50-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the  5100 block of East Parkway.
