Nederland residents asked to limit water usage

NEDERLAND — Nederland residents are being asked by the Public Works Department to limit their water use until further notice, according to an email from Chris Duque, city manager.

A power outage at Entergy caused a mechanical problem at the Nederland Water Treatment Plant. Duque said that city crews are on-site making necessary repairs and he does not anticipe that the issue will require a boil water notice.

For more information, call the Public Works Department at (409) 723-1540.
