BRYAN, Texas —
Police are investigating whether a man charged in a Texas A&M bomb threat knows a woman accused of a similar hoax at another university.
Brazos County jail records show Dereon Kelly and Brittany Henderson, both from Bryan, were being held Tuesday on charges of making a terrorist threat. Bond is $150,000 each. No attorneys were listed for the pair.
Police allege Kelly on Oct. 19 emailed a bomb threat that cleared the A&M campus in College Station. Kelly was arrested on Dallas County fraud charges after the incident. He was charged Monday with the hoax.
Henderson was arrested last week over the bogus Oct. 18 threat at Texas State University in San Marcos.
A&M police Lt. Allan Baron (buh-ROHN’) says Henderson is a person of interest in the A&M case.
