BEAUMONT —
Clarence Jones, 64 of Beaumont, TX died Monday, June 11, 2012 at his residence. A native of Pt Arthur, TX he is a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1966. Clarence diligently served his country through the U.S. Navy receiving several military honors. After his military career, he worked in the medical profession as a LVN and CRT.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and George Jones, Sr., brothers, George Jones, Jr., Wallace Lyons and Ivory Lyons, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jones; daughters, Christy (Billy) Romar, and Kizzy Jones Mitchell both of Pt. Arthur, TX, Tamika (Corrie) Frank, and Natosha (Kenneth) Coleman of Bmt., TX; sons, Tigee and Jerald “Jevon” Rideaux both of Bmt., TX. He also leaves behind a loving sister, Dorothy Broussard and brother, Robert Jones, both of Pt. Arthur, TX, along with six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 675 College, Bmt. TX, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be Monday, June 18, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
