Michael Sam Bruno, 59, of Bryan, Texas, formerly of Port Arthur, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on September 12, 1952 in Port Arthur to Nick and June Bruno.
Michael had been a resident of Bryan since 2006 after moving there from Lake Charles, LA. He loved to read and listen to music. He could be described as a very fun and loving person who enjoyed socializing.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Julianna Bruno Rent; brother-in-law, Nick Norris, Jr.; grandparents, Inez and Louis Mallet and Sam and Mary Bruno.
His survivors include his parents, Nick and June Bruno of Groves; 4 brothers, David Bruno and wife Gayle of Bryan, Martin Bruno of Denton, Douglas Bruno of Katy, Andrew Bruno and wife Beverly of Beaumont; 3 sisters, Victoria Norris of Port Neches, Regina Gaspard and husband Norman of Bridge City, Stephanie Nahavandi and husband Hamid of Houston and a host of nieces and nephews.
A gathering of Michael’s family and friends will be held on June 8, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial immediately following in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
