PORT ARTHUR —
Ms. Mary Jo Ann (Mary Jo) Solomon of Port Arthur passed away Monday at Cypress Glen Rehabilitation Center. A native of Galveston, Texas she was a resident of Port Arthur, Texas for 27 years and retired as a Culinary Specialist for the Franklin Louisiana Indepedent School District and the Port Arthur Independent School District. She was a member of Sacred Heart - St. Mary Catholic Church.
A visitation is scheduled on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 9:00-10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Charles Atuah officiating. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
Mary is preceded in death by Kim D. Riser (daughter). She is survived by her devoted, loving daughter, Latonia F. Harris; granddaughter, Kym’Isjah L. Riser; and sisters, Orelia Andrews (Houston), Louise Richmond (Felton), and Mildred Simpson (Jewel).
