PORT ARTHUR —
Olevia Roy Watson was born September 15, 1929 to the late Jimmy and Clara Roy in Melville, Louisiana.
She departed his life Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and a housewife.
Olevia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur Watson, Sr., two children, Annie Jackson and Patrick Watson; two sisters and one brother, Carrie Birdsong, Harriet Roy and Jimmy Roy Jr.
She leaves to mourn her sister, Henretta Williams of Houston, TX; her children, Margaret (Robert ) Jefferson of Port Arthur, TX, Arthur Watson, Jr. (Juanita) of Beaumont, TX; Clara Brown of Houston, TX, Shephard Watson, Deborah Mayfield of Port Arthur, TX, Barbara (Jeffery) Linderman of Anchorage, Alaska, Jacquline (Dan) Shelton, Donald (Latrail) Watson of Beaumont, TX, Wanda Coleman of Vancouver, Washington, Elane (David) Jones of Port Arthur, TX; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Marks Baptist Church, 6200 Roosevelt, Port Arthur, TX, with a viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
