James Willis Jones, Sr. was born on April 30, 1937 to J.D. Shelly Jones and Pauline Jones of Carthage, TX. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves, TX.
He is survived by his sons James Jones Jr. (Rose Mary) of Port Arthur, TX and Thaddeus Jones (Corissa) of Las Vegas, NV; five daughters, Karen Delahoussaye of Port Arthur, TX; Valerie Cage (Paul) of Pflugerville, TX; Patricia Muse of Round Rock, TX; Yvonne Gable (Farris) of Houston, TX; Ciarra Yarbrough of Beaumont, TX; Four step-daughters, Jenice Jones, Priscilla Haynes, Yolanda Bennett, Tonya Flournoy and one step-son Lee Simon; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; friend Patricia Wade - Givens.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.D. Shelly Jones and Pauline Jones; his wife, Joyce Garlow Jones.
Services will be held on Friday, June 1st, 2012 at Moody-Harris Funeral Home in Prot Arhtur, TX. Visitation 10:00 AM Services 12:00 Noon.
