Jason Raoul Kirkpatrick, M.D.
Jason R. Kirkpatrick, M.D., 70, of Killingworth, CT, passed away at home on December 5, surrounded by his family. Jason was born March 8, 1942 in Camden, Texas, the son of the late Marion and Laurine (Handley) Kirkpatrick.
He was an Officer in the Navy and served on the Trident Class submarine USS Ethan Allen. He graduated from Baylor School of Medicine and received his Psychiatric Degree from The Institute of Living in Hartford, CT. He retired from Connecticut Valley Hospital. He later worked in the psychiatric unit of Middlesex Hospital ER, as well as on numerous psychiatry assignments around the country.
Jason loved to travel home to Texas, to Italy and Spain. He built a home in the Dominican Republic, where he lived for a number of years.
He is survived by his sister, Colleen Dammert of Houston, Texas, his brother, Gary Kirkpatrick, and wife Cindy of Killingworth, and his niece, Gretchen Kirkpatrick of Austin, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, CT 06457, on Friday, December 14, 2012, at 7 P.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. prior to the service.
