James Richard McGill, 70, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on November 19, 2012 at his home. He was born in Maryville, Tennessee on December 6, 1941 to the late James Kenneth McGill and Frances Marie Romero. He was a heavy Equipment operator and a member of Val Verde Baptist Church. James served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy Seabees.
A funeral service will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, November 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
James is survived by his wife, Jeanie Daigle McGill of Port Neches; son, James Richard McGill, II of Beaumont; daughters, Danielle Nicole McGill of Beaumont, Cindy McGill and Becky McGill, both of Washington, Penn.; grandchildren, Taylor McGill, Mackenzie McGill-Isaacs, Lakelynn Kay McGill, Rylee Bridgwater, Caden Romero, Jaden Bridgwater, Kayla Ingram, Lyndsey Matteson, Brandon Dempster, and Jordan Dempster; 3 great- grandchildren; sister, Sheila Claude of Groves; and brother, David McGill of Vidor. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Emile “Junior” Romero; and brother, Steven McGill.
