PORT NECHES —
Robert “Bob” Skelton, 71, of Port Neches passed away on February 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 24, 1942 in Bakersfield, California to the late James Skelton and Mildred Micek Skelton. Bob worked at DuPont Beaumont Works for 30 years and retired as a Millwright Operator. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Ivan Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Saturday from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steve Skelton; his brother, Jim Skelton; and his sister, Shirley Mason. He is survived by his wife, Ann Skelton of Port Neches; step-daughter, Cheryl Weaver and husband, Brent of Nederland; son, Troy Skelton and wife, Lisa of Eunice, Louisiana; brothers, Thomas Skelton of Placerville, California and Rodney Enright and wife, Beth of Lumas, California; and 6 grandchildren.
