OBITUARIES



Jesse T. Sanders

PORT ARTHUR - Jesse T. Sanders of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur at the age of 85.

He was born in Kentwood, Louisiana on September 7, 1922 to Katie Frazier Sanders and Aldee Sanders. Jesse proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII, where he was a survivor of Pearl Harbor.

He retired from Gulf Oil as an operator after 33 years of service. He was a longtime member of Procter Baptist Church in Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Dr. Rick Erwin, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens under the direction of Clayton Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Maxine Sanders of Port Arthur, Texas, his daughter Tanya Simon and her husband Durwyn of Orange, Texas, his sons Gary Sanders of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Jesse R. Sanders and his wife Judy of Hempstead, Texas. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Chris Sanders, Angie Avery, Kayla Rosenberg and Amber Redoux, his seven great grandchildren Joey Sanders, Natalie Sanders, Max Rosenberg, Desiree Simon, Austin Avery, Madison Avery and Shawn Redoux as well as his sister Marian “Tiny” Braud of Baton Rouge, Louisiana along with several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Spencer Comeaux are scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Methodist Church, 821 Texas Avenue. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 A.M.
