PORT ARTHUR —
Mildred Marie Parker was born November 12, 1926 in Morgan City, LA to the late Moses Randle Sr. and Heln Randle. She departed this life at the age of 86, surrounded by her family, Sunday January 20, 2013 after a long illness.
Mildred was a member of the First Sixth Street Baptist Church where she served in the deaconess, senior choir, Hannah Circle, and volunteered with the Experience Corp tutoring at Dowling Elementary School.
She married Herman Curtis Victor and out of the union she had five children, Vivian, Barbara and Fortia Faye, Herman Jr., and Theodore Paul Victor Sr. Later she married John Clifton Parker and of this union was one son Clifton Wayne Parker.
She was preceded in death by husband Herman Curtis Victor Sr., John-Clifton Parker, father Moses Randle, mother Helen Randle, sister Lucinda Angelo, daughters Barbara Victor Thomas and Faye Victor Shephard.
She leaves to cherish her memories and rejoice in her homegoing, daughter Vivian Insell (Harold); three sons Herman Victor Sr., Theodore Paul Victor Sr., and Clifton Parker; two brothers Jimmy Randle and William Randle (Lorina); 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at First Sixth Street Baptist Church with a viewing from noon until service time with Rev. Thurman Bartie officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
