Monetta Lois Stevenson, 94 of Nederland passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 2:00-3:00PM with a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Reverend David Higgs officiating at Broussard’s in Nederland. Interment will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday at Stone Cemetery in Jasper County, Missouri.
Mrs. Stevenson was a native of Diamond, Missouri and has lived in Nederland since for the past fifteen years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church.
Mrs. Stevenson was preceded in death by her husband Irl Stevenson Jr.; three sisters, Beulah Mills, Ella Heckmaster, Alma Patrick. She is survived by her Donald E. Stevenson and wife Judy of Nederland; two daughters, Irleen A. Guidry and husband John of Port Neches, Rita L. Potts and husband Robert of Austin; eight grandchildren, Scott Stevenson and wife Laurie, Cindy Laird and husband Mike, Rhonda Schultz and husband Tom, Russell Guidry, Renee Bowen and husband James, Raymond Guidry and wife Gay, Breck Harrison and wife Jennifer, Michelle Lacourciere and husband Paul; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Cole and Neoma Pendergraft and husband Roy and numerous nieces and nephews.
