NEDERLAND - William “Bill” Beasley Sr. 67, of Nederland, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.



Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Reverend Carlton Pridgen officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 7 PM Monday at the mortuary.



Bill was a native of Bishopville South Carolina and lived in Nederland since 1963. Bill retired as an Educator from the Port Arthur Independent School District with 28 years of service. He served on the Hughen School Board, Port Arthur Kiwanis, the Al Price and Mimi Rogers Youth Commission Board, an also served his country in the United States Air Force.



Bill is survived by his wife; Judith Beasley of Nederland, son; Will Beasley Jr. and wife Misti of Nederland, daughter; Jodi Broussard and husband Chad of Port Neches, brother; George Beasley and wife Dora Jean of South Carolina, sisters; Olivia Baker and husband Gordan, Mary Watford and husband Richard, and Anna Beasley all of South Carolina, also five grandchildren.



Memorial contributions can be made to the Hughen School in Port Arthur, 2849 9th Avenue, 77640 or First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, 1911 Nederland Avenue, 77627.
