Bertha Pauline Henry, Polly to her friends, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 3, at Oak Groves Nursing Home in Groves, Texas after battling a short illness and Alzheimer’s.
Polly was born September 28, 1926 in Very Best, Texas to Rufus and Priscilla Branton. Out of six children, the only surviving sibling is her sister, Marie Garner of Mason, Texas.
Polly was blessed to have two families, having been adopted by a very loving couple, Charlie and Eva Mae McLaughlin of Eldorado, Texas.
Polly spent most of her youth in West Texas before marrying Max Henry and moving to Groves, Texas in 1959.
She is survived by her son, Charlie Henry and his wife, Peggy; her daughter, Christie Dubuisson and her husband, Danny; as well as five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
At Polly’s request, her body was donated to science. A private family memorial service was held at Oak Grove Nursing Home.
