Port Arthur, Texas — Floyd Bergeron, age 79 of Port Arthur passed away on February 5. 2010 at the age of 79 in the V.A. Hospital in Houston, Texas. Floyd had lived in the Port Arthur area for many years and was a merchant seaman for over 20 years and a Port Arthur police officer for 7 years. Floyd was born in New Orleans, La. on July 23,1930 to Abel and Florence Bergeron who preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton- Thompson. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Floyd is survived by his son, Aaron Bergeron of Port Acres, daughters, Alanda Bergeron Boldt and husband Bryan Boldt, Sr. of Bridge City,Tanya Bergeron Graves of Orangefield, and Darla Bergeron Booth of Port Acres. Grandchildren, Angela Pitts Hodgkinson of Bridge City, Heather Pitts Doucet of Bridge City Bryan Boldt, Jr. of Bridge City, Victoria Villemez Creder of Nederland, Jadon Booth of Port Acres, Taylor Bergeron of Port Acres and Laci Bergeron of Port Acres and Great-Grandchild, Daxton Hodgkinson.
