Armida Monceaux

Groves, Texas — Armida Monceaux, 86, of Groves died Saturday February 6, 2010 at The Forum of Memorial Woods in Houston, Texas.

Armida was born March 18, 1923 in Bologna, Italy to Dante Massotti and Fiorina Rosseli Massotti. She was the retired owner of Monceaux Restuarant and resident of the area for 64 years. Armida was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday February 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves with Msgr. Kenneth G. Greig officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Vigil service at 5:30 p.m.

Armida was preceded in death by her husband Ranzay J. Monceaux and brother Aldo Massotti.

Armida is survived by her daughter Florene Perry of Houston, Texas; son Murphy Monceaux and wife Chong Suk of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters Tosca, Ada, and Mafalda all of Italy; three grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, and Jamie Perry; and two great grandchildren Brooke and Kathryn Perry.
