PORT ARTHUR —
Port Arthur Founders Lions Club met noon on Oct. 26 at The Courtyard Café in Groves. John Lindell received an award for his 25 years of exemplary service to the Founders. District Governor Jimmy Richardson’s award to Port Arthur Founders for their efforts in hosting the last District 2S1 Cabinet meeting that was held on October 20th was passed around.
The speaker at the meeting was J. D. Crabbs. The topics of discussion were his experiences being legally blind all his life, his accomplishments, and his experiences getting a guide dog. There were quite a few questions.
Port Arthur Founders Lions Club has changed its meeting schedule from the 2nd and 4th Fridays to the 1st and 3rd Fridays for the months of November and December. This was done to resolve conflicts during the holidays. In January we will resume the regular schedule.
