Edna B. Solomon was honored by the Heroines of Jericho for her work with the organization for over 60 years.
Solomon is the outgoing Grand Matron of the group.
While in the group, Solomon served as District Deputy Grand Matron, choir director of grand chorus and first regional director of coastal region.
Solomon is also a part of the Red Cross, Job Corp, Boy Scouts, Board of Missions, Jefferson County Democratic Women, Area Agency of Aging and PTA president of several schools.
Solomon will be succeeded in the role of Grand Matron by Norma Mitchell.
