PORT ARTHUR —
The Mid-County 17-18 Babe Ruth All-Stars won their first two games at the Babe Ruth World Series in Weimer, but fell Tuesday to Cape Cod, Mass. 1-0 in pool play.
Cape Cod advances to the semifinals while Mid-County will need to win one more game to advance past the National Division Pool.
Mid-County previously beat Port Angeles, Wash. 9-1 on Monday and Eagle Pass 5-1 on Saturday.
