How area players did in college games

PORT ARTHUR —

Here are the efforts by former Southeast Texas players in the collegiate ranks over the Sep. 15 weekend. Players are included when they record statistics, start the game or reach career milestones. Players who are being redshirted or do not play are not included.



Four Year Colleges                        



Michael Barnes, Missouri Valley College, DB (Central): Barnes had two tackles in the 55-6 victory over Avila College, giving him 17 tackles this season.



Reggie Begelton, Lamar, WR (West Brook): Begelton had two catches for 14 yards in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i. The redshirt freshman has five catches for 46 yards this season.



Jacoby Bellard, Missouri Valley College, OL (Ozen): Bellard had three catches for 67 yards in the 55-6 victory over Avila College. The freshman has four catches for 85 yards this season.



Justin Brock, Lamar, OL (West Brook): Brock started at left tackle in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i.



Harry Brown, Texas Southern, WR (Memorial): Brown caught two passes for 37 yards and a TD in the 45-35 loss to Jackson State. The senior has seven catches for 86 yards this season.



Desmond Gardiner, Texas A&M, DB (Memorial): Gardiner had one tackle in the 48-3 victory over Southern Methodist.



Collin Garrett, Stephen F. Austin, LB (West Brook): Garrett led the Lumberjacks with 13 tackles, including two for a loss, in the 43-35 loss to No. 3 Montana State, giving him 26 tackles this season.



DePauldrick Garrett, Lamar, RB (West Orange-Stark): Garrett had seven carries for 4 yards in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i. The junior has 118 rushing yards this season.



Jordan Garrett, Lamar, DB (West Brook): Garrett had one tackle in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’I, giving him four tackles this season.



Kyle Gillam, Lamar, OL (Lumberton): Gillam started at center in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i.



Ben Goodman, Kansas, DE (West Brook): Goodman had four tackles in the 20-6 loss to No. 15 Texas Christian, giving him six tackles this season.



Adrian Guillory, Lamar, DB (Central): Guillory had three tackles and returned a blocked PAT for two points in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i. The senior has 10 tackles and four pass breakups this season.



Jacoby Hale, Utah, LB (Central): Hale had three tackles, including one for a loss, in the 24-21 victory over Brigham Young, giving him four tackles this season.



David Hollyfield, Lamar, DL (Silsbee): Hollyfield returned one kickoff for 11 yards in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i.



Keenan Holman, Southern Methodist, WR (Central): Holman led the Mustangs with five catches for 52 yards in the 48-3 loss to Texas A&M. The junior has 13 catches for 156 yards and a TD this season.



Ortavious Hypolite, Stephen F. Austin, DB (West Orange-Stark): Hypolite had two tackles in the 43-35 loss to No. 3 Montana State.



Willie Jefferson, Stephen F. Austin, DE (Ozen): Jefferson had three tackles and two quarterback hits in the 43-35 loss to No. 3 Montana State, giving him nine tackles this season.



Dravannti Johnson, Incarnate Word, LB (Nederland): Johnson had four tackles in the 34-24 loss to Eastern New Mexico, giving him eight tackles this season.



William Jones, Lamar, LB (Central): Jones had three tackles in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’I.



Shane McCardell, Mississippi State, DE (West Brook): McCardell had one tackle in the 30-24 victory over Troy.



Vance McDonald, Rice, TE (East Chambers): McDonald had four catches for 35 yards and a TD in the 56-37 loss to Louisiana Tech. The senior also had three carries for 20 yards and has 10 catches for 133 yards this season.



Marcus Malbrough, Lamar, DL (West Brook):Malbrough had three tackles and one quarterback hit in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i. The senior has seven tackles and three QB hits this season.



Mark Murrill, Lamar, DT (Lumberton): Murrill had four tackles, including one for a loss, and one quarterback hit in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i. The junior has seven tackles and one sack this season.



John Prescott, Lamar, DL (Ozen): Prescott had two tackles in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’I, giving him seven tackles this season.



Chris Raggett, McNeese State, S (Ozen): Raggett had four tackles in the 35-21 victory over Weber State, giving him 10 tackles this season.



Taylor Reed, Southern Methodist, LB (West Brook): Reed had six tackles, one sack and broke up a pass in the 48-3 loss to Texas A&M, giving him 15 tackles this season.



Bruce Reyes, Missouri Valley College, QB (West Brook): Reyes completed 14 of 16 passes for 223 yards and two TDs in the 55-6 victory over Avila College. The sophomore has thrown for 565 yards and three TDs this season.



Jarrian Rhone, West Texas A&M, WR (Silsbee): Rhone had one catch for 6 yards in the 40-10 victory over No. 14 Texas A&M-Kingsville. The redshirt freshman has two catches for 6 yards this season.



Elandon Roberts, Morgan State, LB (Memorial): Roberts had seven tackles, including two for a loss, in the 66-6 loss to Akron, giving him 25 tackles this season.



Radermon Scypion, Houston, DL (Memorial): Scypion made one tackle in the 37-6 loss to No. 22 UCLA, giving him seven tackles this season.



Branden Thomas, Lamar, DB (Central): Thomas had three tackles and broke up two passes in the 54-2 loss to Hawai’i. The junior has 11 tackles, one interception and four PBUs this season.



Seth Thomas, McNeese State, CB (West Orange-Stark): Thomas had one tackle in the 35-21 victory over Weber State, giving him six tackles this season.



Terran Vaughn, Stephen F. Austin, OL (Ozen): Vaughn started at right tackle and had one tackle in the 43-35 loss to No. 3 Montana State.



Steven White, Texas Southern, DB (Memorial): White had two tackles in the 45-35 loss to Jackson State, giving him eight tackles this season.
