The Summer Golden Oldies League has crowned their league champions.
Although I must say that the team name doesn't quite fit, the Quiet Bunch team is an awesome group of bowlers. Angie Wratislaw, Hazel Lack, Betty Sheffield, and Bill Lawless make up this “bunch” of fun loving senior bowlers.
Many other awards were given in this league and they are as follows: High average-Gary Vincent and Hedy Zampini; high series & high game-Donald Bourg; High series-Frankie Hall; High game-Wanda Robicheaux; Most improved bowlers-James Pitre, & Charlotte Banks.
As usual, the End of Season No-Tap Tournament was held amongst the bowlers of this league and the winners were Marvin Ermel and Bonnie Timaeus. Congratulations to everyone!
In league play, we have 2 fall leagues that have begun. Starting the season over the top was Skipper Arsenault and Kirwin Melo. Skipper fired the top scores with 279-257-238-774 and Kirwin, rolling the only other 700, had 267-224-227-718.
