There is plenty to do in and around Southeast Texas this weekend, including live music featuring
• Nutty Jerry’s — For more than 50 years The Temptations have been recording and performing music all over the world. The group will perform in Winnie at Nutty Jerry’s tonight. Although Otis Williams is the sole remaining original member, The Temptations are still as entertaining as ever in the 21st century. This band has that Motown magic to dance and sing like few others can. Hit songs include “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “Ain’t to Proud to Beg” and more. • Dylan’s — The Fuse performs on Friday, and My Beautiful Disaster makes its Dylan’s debut on Saturday. My Beautiful Disaster has successfully made the conversion from a cover rock band to an all around cover band performing rock hits by Buckcherry, 3 Doors Down, Janis Joplin and Paramore, while including dance hits by artists such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna, and even country hits by Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire. Admission is charged at the door each night for ages 21 and older. On Tuesday, check out an acoustic music party featuring Jimmy Kaiser from 8:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. Admission is free of charge. • The Place — A benefit is on tap during the day this Saturday at The Place in Port Acres, featuring music from The Alley Kats, as the group and area residents lend their help to a worthy cause. • Capri Club — Lucky Star Karaoke at the Capri Club is always a great way to spend your Thursday and Friday nights, and ages 21 and older are welcome to do just that this week. Plus, be sure to check out a special karaoke session featuring DJ Rock Star on Saturday night. The Capri Club is a private membership venue and requires a $10 per year membership. • Jefferson County Singles Club — Located at 111 Green Ave. in Nederland, the Jefferson County Singles Club offers plenty of great music this weekend. • Madison’s — JAG performs this Saturday night for ages 21 and older at Madison’s, located on Dowlen Road in Beaumont. Admission is charged at the door. • Logon Cafe — Jack Edery and UltraSuede perform classic rock hits tonight at the Logon Cafe. Admission is $5 at the door and the show starts at 8 p.m. More rock and blues is featured on Saturday night as Crossroads makes a rare appearance at the Beaumont venue. Admission is $5 at the door. If you want to be entertained, then check out The Quartet as this group features some of the most talented musicians in Southeast Texas performing an unbelievable selection of music. Admission is $5. • Honky Tonk Texas — Country music is the music of choice for fans of Honky Tonk Texas and this weekend’s performances guarantee a good time for everyone.
