BEAUMONT —
Safety is no accident.
Just ask the 67 award nominees and 11 companies who were named winners at the Golden Triangle Business Roundtable Safety Awards luncheon on Tuesday the importance of safety.
Geoffroy Petit, chief executive officer for Total Petrochemicals USA Inc., told the crowded room of business owners and contractors of the importance of safety in the work place and that safety is no accident.
Total’s commitment to safety is no accident but is a well thought out plan that spans the world. Knowing “who does what and when,” coupled with an Advanced Integrated Management System and 12 fundemental “Golden Rules” have helped the petrochemical giant keep injuries and off-time down to near zero.
Petit was keynote speaker at the event, which was held at the Holiday Inn’s Atrium Plaza.
