A woman is dead following a one vehicle accident in Bridge City on Monday.

The victim, identified as Sheridon Wright, was eastbound on FM 1442 and Tower Road when her 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser left the roadway about 5:05 p.m. Aug. 23. The car traveled across oncoming traffic for an unknown reason and struck a culvert causing the car to become air born and roll over, according to a press release from Bridge City Police Department.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Janice Menard. An autopsy has been ordered.
