The Place

3-Way Switch Band will play the tunes at the Christmas party beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday. Everyone 21 and over is invited and there is no cover. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, the two-piece accoustic band Where’s Bat will play. 5875 W. Port Arthur Road.

Rock out this weekend because Dylan’s in Mid-County has arguably the best lineup night for night of any venue in Southeast Texas.

Performing on stage tonight at Dylan’s is The Kinship, along with special guest Kris Harper. This band has been one of the area’s top acts for several years now and for good reason.

On Saturday night, relieve the decadence of Los Angeles and the music that no one will ever forget as Guns n Roses tribute band, Guns for Roses, makes its first ever appearance at Dylan’s in Port Arthur. Admission is charged at the door for ages 21 and older each weekend night.

On Tuesday night, it’s acoustic music at its best, especially this week as musician Mike Zito performs. Admission is free on Tuesday.

The Boudain Hut

Live music is part of The Boudain Hut experience, and you have to see it to believe it. Creole Cookin’ will be performing tonight and Saturday, while Riding High take the stage on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Porky’s

Take a trip to Port Arthur and enjoy a great weekend at Porky’s on Gulfway Drive.

Karaoke is the name of the game tonight for ages 21 and older, while Saturday is blues rock at its best as the Larry Tillery Band performs on Saturday night. Call the venue at 409-548-4881 for more information.

Larry’s French Market

Take a spin around the dance floor at Larry’s French Market in Groves this weekend.

Sanderson’s Restaurant

This Saturday night enjoy good food and music from Alex Rozell, an up and coming young artist from the area.

Cash’s Bar and Grill

Every December, it seems like the band Forever Falls puts on one of the best end of year shows around. This year is no different.

Forever Falls will hold a CD release party this Saturday night at Cash’s Bar and Grill in Port Arthur in the event known as “The Death of Summer Luau.” Special guests include Podunk and Uptown.

For guests who dress to match the theme, admission is $7 per person at the door and $10 per person for everyone else, ages 21 and older only. Also, every paid admission will receive a free copy of the band’s fourth disc, “Big Vision for a Small World.”

Big Nasty’s

Take a trip to Bridge City this weekend for two nights of good fun and music.

Tonight, at Big Nasty’s on Texas Avenue, it’s karaoke with hostess Joyce Rainey, while Saturday’s showcase features the dynamic Smokin’ Joe Soliz and Miss Candy. Admission is always free for ages 21 and older. Call 409-697-3053 for details.

Madison’s

Music makes the world go round, and, at Madison’s too. Located on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, Madison’s is always a great place for live music and fun.

Performing tonight is area band Old Skool, while Saturday’s showcase features variety act Simple Logic. Admission is charged at the door for ages 21 and older.

Goodfellas

Dinner and good music go hand-in-hand at Goodfellas in Beaumont.

Starvin’ Marvin’s

The party continues this week at Starvin’ Marvin’s Bar and Grill in Beaumont, and it all begins tonight with a live performance by Charlie Hagar and Captain Legendary, while Bryce Shaffer performs on stage this Saturday.

Open mic night continues on Tuesday night as area musicians are invited to participate in the musical fun, while area rock band Forever Falls takes the stage on Thursday night for a real rock and roll performance. Call 409-347-0058 for info.

The Gig

Hang out at The Gig on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont this weekend.

Learn to dance Salsa and more at Club Salsa tonight. Admission is $10 at the door and a dress code is enforced for ages 18 and older.

Logon Cafe

Rick Danna and Rick Busby return to the Logon Cafe tonight for the last performance of the duo known as The Rick Show in 2010. Admission is $5 at the door and the show begins at 8 p.m.

Okee Dokee’s

Travel down College Street in Beaumont and head over to Okee Dokees as The Bogarts perform tonight for ages 21 and older. This band is easily one of the most talented acts in Southeast Texas and will blow you away with its song selection of rock hits spanning more than 40 years.

Christmas carols will be mixed into the band’s set and finger foods will be served to make this a very festive event.

Whiskey River

Texas country artist Kevin Fowler makes one last appearance in Southeast Texas in 2010 with a concert at Whiskey River tonight.

Fowler is touring in support of his new album, “Best Of…For Now,” which was released on Dec. 7 and contains 18 of his hits and fan favorites such as “Pound Sign,” “Don’t Touch My Willie,” as well as unreleased material like “Beer Season” and “What I Wouldn’t Give for Your Love.” Admission is charged at the door for ages 18 and older.

Then, on Wednesday, Dec. 22, inside The Back Room at Whiskey River, one of the most eclectic bands in Southeast Texas has reunited for a special holiday event as The Molly Maguires perform.

This special all ages show also features Sour Mash and The Shammies. Admission is $7 per person at the door, but guests are encouraged to bring a can good for a $1 off admission or two can goods for $2 off admission.

On Thursday night, Texas country act Stoney LaRue returns to the Golden Triangle for a spectacular night of music. Admission is charged at the door for ages 18 and older.

Nutty Jerry’s

This Friday’s show at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie is not to be missed because the legendary act known as The Bellamy Brothers travel to Southeast Texas for a concert tonight. L’Auberge du Lac

One of the biggest legends in the world of music comes to Southwest Louisiana this weekend as Tony Bennett performs at 8:30 p.m., tonight and Saturday at L’Auberge du Lac Casino in Lake Charles, La.

Tickets start at $85 and may be purchased at the L’Auberge Business Center, ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Guests must be 21 or older to enter the Event Center and the casino.

Bennett, a winner of 15 Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, has sold more than 50 million albums around the world. He is best known for his trademark hit from 1962, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.” Other hits include “Rags to Riches” and his first number 1 song, “Because of You.”
