Juanita Moreno

   Juanita Moreno, 88, of Bridge City, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the Southeast Texas Medical Center in Port Arthur.

   A funeral service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City with Reverend Steve Leger of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City officiating.

   Visitation will be from 5pm to 9pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.

   Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 24, 1925, Juanita was the daughter of Eustacio Hernandez and Dominga (Luna) Hernandez who came from Mexico in the 1920’s and owned a restaurant in Port Arthur. Juanita was a loving mother who adopted all three of her children and was a proud Breast Cancer Survivor. She worked for Bridge City ISD, in the cafeteria at Hatton Elementary, for 20 years and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as reading.

   She was preceded in death by husband, Johnnie Moreno, Sr.; daughter, Lydia Ann Moreno; sisters, Angelina Garza and Mary Hernandez; and brothers, Lupie Hernandez, Hank Hernandez, and Joe Hernandez

   Juanita is survived by her sons, Johnny Moreno and Albert Moreno; grandchildren, Lauren Moreno and Alexis Moreno; and great grandchildren, Anna Ramerez and Addison Ramerez.
