‘Rain band’ could dump 1-3 more inches on SETX, NWS says

The National Weather Service is monitoring a rain band moving in across Jefferson County, extending inland to Hardin, Jasper, and Tyler counties. This rain band will likely be persistent through early afternoon, and extend across Orange and Newton counties as well.
One to three inches of rain will be possible in this rain band. Localized flooding of streets and wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph will occur in the heaviest rains today. A flash flood warning or advisory may be required.
