Lee Dwayne Walker, 84, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Christus St. Mary Hospital.
Lee was born March 25, 1931 in Davenport, Iowa where he spent most of his young life. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked a variety of jobs before relocating to Texas. He was a resident of Jefferson County for over 35 years and retired from Safety Kleen as a vacuum truck driver.
Lee was a very hard worker. He loved his family and friends and he always relished the opportunity to lend his helping hand. He loved the outdoors and he enjoyed telling elaborate stories. Most will remember Lee with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face.
Loved ones left to cherish his memory include his longtime companion, Earline LaBorde of Port Arthur and daughters, Bonnie Cassidy and husband Randy of Bedford, Karen Duvall and husband Bill of Groves; grandchildren, Jeremy Duvall, Dustin Cassidy and wife Hannah, Robert Cassidy; and great-grandchildren, Gavyn and Ethan Duvall, Patrick Cassidy; and beloved pets, Rocky, Blacky, and Spicey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
