Hazel Lucille Jones

Hazel Lucille Jones, 96, of Nederland, TX, passed away October 4, 2015. She was born March 31, 1919, in Port Arthur, TX to the late, A. J. Junot and Clara Laviolette Junot.
Hazel was a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland for over 75 years, where she was part of the Silver Tones Choir. She was also, a member of Eastern Star, Chapter 1079 – Nederland.
Hazel is survived by her son, Wesley Jones, Jr. and wife, Jean; sisters, Bea Carson and Florance Junot; brother Phillip Junot and wife, Sue; grandchildren, Leslie Renee Jones, Jean Darlene “Dolly” Wolgast, Regan Lee Jones and wife, Rene’, Johnny Brown, Dale Brown and wife, Julie, Nancy Margaret MacSwain and husband, Mike, Jay Dee Jones, Maria Carvajal, Jennifer Gaskins, Jodie Butler, Jessie Clark, Stephanie Baudoin; great -grandchildren, Justin Jones and wife, Alicia, Dillon Jones, Lindsey Wolgast, Lacy Wolgast, Wesley Wolgast, Dalton Brown, Bailey Brown, Rachel Franklin and husband, Josh, Tyler MacSwain, Julia Gonzalez and husband, Raul; great- great-grandchildren, Aria Jones and William Wolgast; Alda Jo Jones, mother of Leslie, Dolly and Regan; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband I. W. “Pappy” Jones, Sr.; brother, Glenn Junot; sisters Wilma Segrest and Edna Mae Junot; step-son, Bud Jones.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Nederland, Rev. Dr. Jason Burden officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice, in honor of Hazel Jones.
